As part of its continuing efforts in community outreach, HyperGear has donated $250 to Pieces of Me, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), in support of its “Avengers for Autism” event. In celebration of National Autism Awareness Month, Pieces of Me joined forces with forReza, another non-profit, treating people with autism and their families to a special screening of the hotly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War on Sunday, April 29.
“We provide different services and events to help autistic teens and adults develop socially and enhance their education,” said Pieces of Me founder, Tamika Faulkner. “I created this organization in dedication to my brother, Timothy Faulkner, who was diagnosed with autism in 2004. Autism at Pieces of Me, Inc. is a superpower and people with ASD are superheroes!”
“We are humbled and grateful to be a part of this worthwhile event,” said HyperGear marketing manager Michelle Saltos. ““It’s heartening to see so many community members come out to support our youth with autism.”0
